Mackenzie Jo was a 17-year-old high school senior who lost her life in an automobile crash in 2019. She was on her way home from her part-time job at a nursing home where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant when she lost control of her vehicle in a snowstorm. Her car went airborne, flew over a concrete barrier and landed just off the roadway below. She was killed instantly.
This tragic loss inspired her mother to do everything that she can to reach teens on a personal level. She wants to help them understand the importance of safe driving and the impact that it has on everyone around them. It is also her hope to prevent other families from experiencing the trauma and grief of losing a teen due to a car crash.
